I bit my lip,looking over to the guy.This could maybe,possibly work.Wouldn't he recognize him though?
But the guy,it seemed like(I wasn't really going to check if he was or not,so let's just say he was a guy),just took another step closer,and said,"I'm asking the questions around here.Did you see kids see anything. . .strange lately?"

The guy looked startled for a moment,and then said,"85?Is that you?"
I looked between the two,motioning to Fang to get ready to leave in a moment's notice if we had to.

I put my hand behind my back and motioned for them to go.
I walked closer to him and whispered.
"Yes, but leave me with them. I'm already trying to find out if they know where he is. If you come along, they might be suspicious."

He nodded.
"No, I am not this '85' you speak of!" I said loudly, and winked at #29.
"Oh, okay then I will just be on my way!" He yelled back, smiling.
"Later," I whispered, and he dissapeared into the horizon.

"Okay, we need to go, like, now." I said when I got back to the group.
"He doesn't have any suspicions, but if we stay in one place someone else might find us."

"I know.We don't stay in one place for more than two days," I told him,and turned around to face the others.
"Okay,well.To make the story short,there's more people,"
Nudge groaned.
"Yea,and,they,um,are kinda intent on killing us,you know?" I said,trying to make it sound better,"So we need to get a move on,"
I looked at 85.
"Anything else I should add?"

"Okay.So stay on your toes and-" I started to say,going through the same procedure as I did almost every Friday.And Sunday.And let's throw in Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday,and Saturday too,just for kicks.
"Yes.We.Get.The.Point," Iggy said,making his constanants sharp and defined.
"Okay,then.Let's go," I said,and started to take a running start before the others could say anything.You know,if they wanted to say anything.Because,like,my deepness sometimes leaves them at loss for words.

I followed after them, keeping an eye behind us to make sure 29 hadn't come back to see what we were doing.

We stopped after a while,and I came up with a very important solution - I didn't like being stuck with my thoughts for so long.
I nodded to Fang,and we circled and landed.This time in a cave.I liked caves much more.
As the others came in,I asked 85,"Any sight of him?"

"No. I think he trusted me enough not to come back. But knowing him, he was probably with another person, so it was a good idea to leave."

"Alright," I said,relieved,at least for a second.Then I returned back to normal.That is,tense and worried.But,hey,aren't we all?

I sat down,outstretching my wings and closing my eyes.Fang slid beside me.

"Like,you seem all of a sudden to trust this 85 character,and we aren't even shure if he's who he says he is,"

I flung a rock at the cave wall, the clack echoing around the small cavern.

I looked around,and saw 85 throwing rocks at the wall.
"-doesn't even have a real name!" Fang was saying,and I nodded,looking at him.
"Yea,shure,"
"Go to sleep,Max," he ordered me,and I looked quizzically at him.
"Obviously you're not listening to me.Go to sleep.I'll take the first shift" Fang said,looking away and closing his eyes.
I lay down on the ground beside him,turning in the opposite direction and closing my eyes.

He sat there,looking at the entryway to the cave.

"Just the way I am," Fang replied,his gaze not leaving the opening,"But,that's only smalltalk,isn't it?Just something to talk about so that we don't sit here for five or six hours in complete silence,"
There was a moment of quiet stillness,and Fang looked at 85.
"You never bothered to give yourself another name?Doesn't it get to you to have people call you by number all the time?" Fang asked him

Fang looked at him,raising an eyebrow.
"It's like,all of your life has been focused on this one thing- killing her," he pointed a finger at Max,her head on his lap,"And then,you see a different light,follow it,and now that one thing has been ripped away.And you're standing there in the light,blinking with confusion,and you don't know what's coming up next.You don't know where you are,"
He shrugged.
"It seems like that to me,at least,"

He shrugged again.
"Maybe I am.Maybe I'm not.It's all what you see me as," Fang told 85.
