Roleplay: the rest of this wonderful,amazing world

"I have no where else to go," I said. And that was the truth. Where else was I supposed to go?

I nodded,I understood.
We arrived later,and Angel said,"Max!Fang!You're back!"
I hugged her,and told 85,"85,Angel.Angel,85,"
Angel looked at him,"Why is he here?"

I introduced him to everyone else,and reassured,"He won't put any harm to us,and he really needs somewhere to stay.And he's so dry and aloof all the time,it would do him good to stay here,"

I nodded slowly.
"Thanks," I said quietly.

I sat down in the tree,and closed my eyes,sighing.Fang slipped quietly beside me,and I looked over at him.
"Nobody's dying,right?" I asked him.
His eyes clouded with confusion,and he said slowly,"Uh,no,"
"Good.Then don't bother," I told him,"Not in the mood,"
He sat there on the tree limb,quietly as always.It was silent,but not too silent so that it passed by into awkward.
Finally he scooted over to me,and said,"That was probably the most foolish thing to do,"
I opened my eyes.
"Well,when we're talking about being foolish,I come in second place,you know," I said,and he caught my drift.
"You shouldn't have let him live in the first place,"
"I don't know," I admitted to him.I didn't know much lately.Before I used to be in control.Now. . .I was just confused.About everything.

(Calm down calm down! I didn't even go to Kings Dominion, happy?? But I did invite BJ over. Then we went bowling, then we saw Mamma Mia again because Dark Knight was sold out and Journey to the Center of the Earth was like, broken or something.)

One of the younger members of the group looked at me in a funny way, and then looked away.
I raised my eyebrows, and thought, Am I missing something? Do I have something stuck between my teeth?

I looked around to see if anyone was watching me, and slyly started pricking the space between my teeth with my fingernail.

I looked over at the others.
"You guys might want to get off the ground or something," I advised,"And maybe,just maybe,go to sleep?"
I scooted Fang off the branch,and he climbed to the next one as I closed my eyes and tried to sleep.
It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.

I followed as the others went to different trees, and gave up on getting out the piece of whatever that was stuck between my teeth. If something was even there, that is.
I climbed onto an empty tree, and sat on the branch. I wasn't tired at all, and laying down and closing my eyes would make me want to stay up later. I leaned my head against the thick wood, and hummed quietly.

I awoke,earlier than everyone else this time.I looked around.Everyone seemed to be sleeping,except for 85,who was just sitting there,looking like he was completly engrossed in humming.Like it was god's gift to humanity.Whatever.
I hopped down,and walked over to his tree.
"You didn't sleep at all?" I asked him

"It was alright.Me and Fang took turns watching.You know,the usual,"

"Your name is really 85?" I asked him,"Like,they were so insensitive that they just gave you numbers instead of names?"

"I guess there were too many of us to keep track of, so they just gave us numbers."

I blinked,and said slowly,"What else do you know about this?"

"About. . .whatever this army they were building.The one with you and everyone else that was looking for me.Do you know anything other than your orders?" I asked.

"Um, well...there were about 100 of us at first, but some of them were deemed 'worthless' and were...sent away." I swallowed.
"So they ended up with about 30 or so, me being one of them. They made us train everyday, and kept us up late almost everynight. They told us that Maximum Ride -Well, you, was our worst enemy and that you were trying to take over the world and that you would stop at nothing to get what you wanted. They told us that our mission was to kill you before you could accomplish your 'evil deed', and then that's when they gave everyone the pills. I was one of the last to recieve mine, and after watching the change in the other's faces and eyes after they had theirs, I was too afraid to take mine." I paused, and then continued the story.

"The next day in training, I noticed that some of my friends were suddenly much more agressive and a lot more powerful. The scientists seemed very pleased, and told us that they would send us on our mission soon enough. On that Wednesday, they released us. We all scattered into different directions, eager to be the one to accomplish the mission." I took a deep breath, and sighed.

Closing my eyes,I leaned back,resting my head on the trunk of the tree and pressing my hand to my temple.I just didn't know what to do.
There were ten minutes or so as I sat there trying to figure out how to win this.To spare all the boring details,I will sum it up in one simple curse-free word: Impossible.
"Crap.This is bad," I told him,opening my eyes and crossing my hands over my chest,"And the rest of you. . .them. . .do you know where they are?"

"Um, not really. But just a warning, they are really fast and strong. The moment you see them, don't even bother trying to put up a fight. Just fly away as fast as you can."

Dang.This wasn't good.Not at all.
"Who um,like. . .made you guys?" I said,trying to grasp for words without being too harsh.Maybe we could take 'em down at the source.

I thought for a moment.

I jumped out of the tree before 85 could say anything,and walked over to Fang,throwing a pine cone at him.
His quiet,even snoring grew louder,then stopped,as he awoke with a jolt.
"Max?What the hell?" he said to me angrily.
"We need to leave.Now," I told him,and went on to waking the others.He would get the message.He always did.That was the freaky thing about us.
Soon the others were awake,and I insisted on skipping breakfast.Hey,the kids could eat when we were SAFE somewhere and harder to track.

But just as we were about to leave,I felt the back of my neck start to prickle again - too much.I did a 360,and lo and behold - right in front of me something jumped out.
I let out a quick shreik,and punched it. . .him?. . .hard on the head.Oh,god.I heard a sickening crack,and whatever it was closed staggered back,rubbing it's head.I blinked,looking down at my throbbing knuckles.They were freaking bleeding.
"Guys.Out,NOW!" I ordered,beggining to retreat myself.85 said there were more.
Unless. . .he was lying?

"Alicia! It's fine, they don't mean any harm!" I said.
If she doesn't get the idea, she's dead. I thought.
